The Simple Gifts Fund seeks to recognize outstanding students and educators in eastern North Carolina. The Simple Gifts Scholarships are awarded annually to Sampson County residents who are current high school seniors graduating from a school within Sampson County or are current Sampson Community College graduates. Scholarships are awarded to help students earn a four-year college degree from a private liberal arts institution outside the state of NC. The Simple Gifts teacher grant programs provide Sampson County teachers and other rural eastern North Carolina teachers with the opportunity to enhance their classroom teaching with renewing and intellectually revitalizing grant programs. Through these grants, The Simple Gifts Fund, seeks to provide grants to teachers who recognize the value of inquiry, who understand the power of knowledge, and who appreciate the importance of inspiring excellence in their students. The Simple Gifts Fund’s scholarship, grant programs, and educator travel grants strive to enrich and improve the lives of motivated Sampson County students and rural eastern North Carolina teachers.
